Meet Jim

Jim Kazakoff

Mini Bio

BORN IN CANADA, Jim's education took him from his home in Victoria, Canada, to the Sorbonne, in Paris. After graduating with a degree in education, he began teaching. After many years in the classroom, Jim relocated to Texas, where he found a career in which he could utilize the skills he had cultivated as a teacher -- patience and the ability to listen. That career was real estate. Soon after obtaining his Texas real estate license, he discovered his way of working with people and his high standards made him an instant success. Over the next period of years, Jim obtained licenses to practise real estate in Missouri and in Massachusetts, where he now resides. Jim likes to joke about having licenses to do damage in three states; but, his clients will tell you otherwise! (see Client Reviews)

JIM SERVED as President of the Greater Lewisville Association of REALTORS® and was elected its 1998 REALTOR OF THE YEAR. He has also earned four coveted real estate designations - ABR, CRS, CNE, and IRES. He has also served the community as a volunteer chaplain, ministering to prisoners in the state and county jails.

HE IS MARRIED and has two grown children - Brian and Kylara. Brian is a massage therapist in New York City and Kylara lives in Cincinnati.

What's with the Letters?

JIM ACHIEVED the coveted Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation in 1997. Fewer than 5% of all Realtors nationwide have been granted this designation by the Residential Sales Council. The requirements for this designation, sometimes called the doctorate of real estate, include documented real estate transactions and special real estate courses and testing. You may see other agents with the initials "GRI". Jim did not apply for the designation of (GRI) since it is a lower designation than that of CRS. Here's what the Residential Sales Council says about the CRS designation and how a CRS Realtor can help you.

The designation, ABR, stands for Accredited Buyer Representative. Here's what REBAC says about the ABR designation and how an ABR Realtor can help you.

Whether you are a buyer or a seller, you should be looking for more than a friend or stranger you "connect with". You want someone who will not only "look out" for your best interests but one who knows how to negotiate in your best interests. Informed clients will not only seek out a REALTOR with the ABR and CRS designations, but will also demand a Certified Negotiation Expert. Learn about the CNE designation here.
